Sure. A magician needs to know how to read his audience, or he won't stay a magician for long.

[There is a short pause before he texts again, more serious this time. Or is he?]

Since when have you started to judge others this harshly? You've always had a pretty black or white view, but aren't you going a bit overboard since you left the Barian World?

[He could point out how Alit jumped from considering Yuma a terrible rival to be squashed to fawning over him like he's the best thing like sliced bread within less than an hour, or how his opinion of humanity has switched so radically within so little time he had spent in their realm.

He could also point out that a magician's audience came to the magician knowing and wanting to be deceived - that the magic is as much in the disbelieving laughs and the 'just how the hell did he do that just now while I was watching so carefully' as it is the real feats of slights of hands and sprinkles of glitter and fake flowers. That it takes real work to do these things, that they are often more than a little risky for very little reward other than to make the impossible real in the eyes of others for a mere couple of split-seconds and that it comes with an amazing desensitization of your own ability to believe in miracles...

But he doesn't.

Instead he just continues with his questions.]

You sound angry. Do you want to hit me right now?
